ABOUT DJ SLUGO

DJ Slugo has been performing since the early 1990’s as a founding member of Chicago’s infamous Dance Mania label, along with co-conspirators Paul Johnson and DJ Deeon. Slugo is world-reknown for his hits including, Wouldn’t You Like to be a Hoe Too, A Blunt, Godzilla Track, Where the Rats, and many more. London’s Underbeat Magazine calls Slugo’s Cardboard Booty album, “The most influential Ghetto House CD ever made,” and went on to call him, “The Ghetto-father of the American Dance floor.” His Chicago Juke DVD’s have gained over 2-million views in 2017. Daft Punk credits him by name, and references his track DJ’s On the Low, on their iconic song Teachers.

He was featured by name recently on HBO’s hit TV show Ballers along with his track, I Ain’t Yo Baby Daddy, and has done remixes for artists such as Nina Kraviz (Ghetto Kraviz) and Missy Elliott (Work It), and has collaborations on the horizon with artists and labels in France, Brooklyn, and Japan.
